Enlarged, textured AR-15 magazine-release button that gives the trigger finger a bigger target without a full ambi conversion.
The Magpul Enhanced AR Magazine Release swaps the small mil-spec magazine button for a two-piece part with a larger, aggressively textured contact face. The bigger surface lets the trigger finger find and press the release without breaking grip, which is the cheapest meaningful reload upgrade on a standard AR-15 lower.
The texturing runs perpendicular to the direction of press for better traction with gloves or wet hands, and the enlarged face still sits low enough that it does not turn into a snag point the way oversized paddle-style competition buttons can. It installs in place of the factory button with no gunsmithing and keeps the standard magazine catch, spring, and receiver interface.
This is the part to buy when the goal is a faster magazine drop on a duty or range rifle and a fully ambidextrous conversion is not on the table. It is mil-spec hard anodized aluminum, so it holds up to the same abuse as the factory control while giving the thumb or trigger finger a noticeably larger target.
