Volquartsen Exact Edge Extractor

The factory Ruger 10/22 extractor is the most-blamed part in the rifle when bulk Federal or Remington ammo throws the occasional failure-to-extract. The Volquartsen Exact Edge Extractor (VC10EE) replaces the factory part with a hardened tool-steel extractor that has a sharper, cleaner hook geometry, and most rifles see the bulk-ammo extraction issues disappear after the swap. The same part fits the Ruger MKII, MKIII, and MKIV pistols, so it covers most of the Ruger rimfire lineup. Install is part of any normal bolt disassembly: drift the firing pin pin out, drop the old extractor, install the new one with the included spring, reassemble. $17, takes ten minutes, and is on every veteran 10/22 owner's mandatory cheap-upgrade list.
