The BoreBuddy KRISS AR22 magazine holds 25 rounds of .22 LR and fits a standard AR-15 magazine well without an adapter. BoreBuddy recommends KRISS magazines when a CMMG-pattern AR22 build uses a true last-round bolt-hold-open setup.
The magazine can raise a compatible .22 LR bolt catch after the final round. That is different from a follower that only props the bolt open while the magazine remains inserted. The rifle still needs the separate rimfire bolt catch for the standard lower control to work.
This magazine belongs to CMMG-pattern conversion-kit and dedicated-upper builds. It is not the factory magazine for a purpose-built rifle such as the Smith & Wesson M&P15-22.
