Wingman +5 Magazine Bumper (Walther P22, 2-Pack)

The Walther P22 factory magazine is a ten-round single stack with a plastic floorplate that sits flush with the frame, which means there is nothing to grab when a magazine does not seat and nothing to slap it home against. The Wingman +5 replaces that floorplate with a Zytel base pad that hangs below the frame and, with the longer spring travel it opens up, holds five more rounds.

The extended pad does two jobs. Capacity is the headline, but the more useful change day to day is seating. The extra material gives the support hand a hard surface to bump the magazine into a locked state, which is the failure most shooters actually have with a small-frame rimfire under time pressure. The pad also gives the pinky somewhere to go on a pistol that otherwise leaves it hanging.

There is one real trade-off, and TANDEMKROSS states it plainly: installing the bumper removes the magazine follower button, so the last-round hold open feature stops working. On a range or match gun that is usually acceptable; on a training gun where slide lock is a drill cue it may not be. Zytel is the same material family used for hard-use polymer firearm parts and shrugs off drops onto concrete. The two-pack ships two bumpers.
