Overview
The Springfield Echelon's Variable Interface System pins most red dot footprints straight to the slide, but the larger enclosed Holosun 509T is one of the two footprints that needs a plate. This C&H Precision adapter carries the 509T footprint on a mild steel body finished in black electro-deposited paint, with stainless mounting hardware. It fits the Holosun 509T and does not accept the HE509-RD ACSS Vulcan, which uses a different mounting pattern.
The kit ships with the plate and three M4 x 6mm screws, and those screws matter on the Echelon. The 509T's factory screws are long enough to contact the slide extractor, so the included shorter set is what keeps the optic clear of internal parts. Seat the plate on the VIS locators, torque to the plate maker's spec with thread locker, and the 509T sits locked to the slide with no stacked-plate slop.
