The JL Billet Compact RXM Reaper turns a Ruger RXM's fire control insert and slide into a compact PDW. The chassis is machined from 7075 aluminum and anodized black, and it replaces the factory grip module, so the serialized FCI moves over without an FFL transfer. JL Billet sells it as a stripped chassis: the slide, trigger, light, and optic come from the host gun.
The brace is built in and deploys manually, and the gun fires with it open or closed. Folded, the chassis measures 9.675 inches long and 1.65 inches wide; unfolded it runs 18.06 inches. A second magazine rides in the chassis, so the package holds 34 rounds with two 17-round magazines, and the magazine release is ambidextrous. A manual cross-bar safety, a QD single-point sling mount, and a removable blast shroud with a bottom Picatinny section round out the controls. With the shroud off, the chassis clears a suppressor up to 1.4 inches in diameter.
Slide fitment follows the RXM's Glock 19 Gen 3 heritage. JL Billet lists Gen 3 Glock 19 slides as compatible, and a 17-length slide fits only with a barrel that uses the G19 locking-block pattern. For lights, JL Billet lists the Streamlight TLR-7A, TLR-7 Sub, TLR-8, and TLR-3, the SureFire XSC, and the Olight PL-X, and states that the TLR-1 and X300 do not fit. Against the Strike SMC Bravo, the Reaper costs several times more and weighs more than twice as much, but it ships with the brace, safety, and spare-magazine storage the Strike chassis leaves to add-ons.
