Best Ruger RXM Accessories 2026: Glock-Compatible Parts, Optics, Triggers & Holsters Ranked

The RXM is a Glock 19 compatible pistol. Here is exactly what transfers from the Glock aftermarket and what does not.

Key insight: if the part sits on or inside the slide, or in the magazine well, assume Glock 19 Gen 3 compatibility. If the part lives in the frame itself (slide stop, mag catch, magwell), assume RXM specific parts only. The serialized FCU that holds the trigger group is Glock Gen 3 architecture, so trigger components follow Glock rules.

The RXM starts with better ergonomics than a stock Glock 19 thanks to the Magpul grip module, so frame mods are low priority. The order below puts the highest performance impact per dollar first.

Skip: magwells. The RXM already has a reshaped mag well and the Magpul grip texture aids reloads more than a magwell funnel on a stock Glock. Slide upgrades are also low priority, the factory RXM slide is already optic-ready with direct-mount cuts for the RMR, DPP, and RMSc footprints.

The single best feature of the Ruger RXM is that it accepts every Glock 19 magazine on the planet. The RXM ships with one 15-round Glock-pattern magazine (Ruger contracts these from Magpul, they are stamped with both logos), and you can stack factory Glock OEM mags, Magpul PMAG GL9, ETS, or any other G19-pattern mag without modification. This is the cheapest pistol family to feed deeply, which is exactly why the RXM exists as a Glock 19 alternative at $539.

Minimum mag count by use: EDC carry: 3 (one in the gun, one on-body, one rotating springs in the safe). Range and training: 6 to 8 mags so you can run reload-from-slide-lock drills without breaking rhythm. CCW class: 8 because instructors run mag changes back-to-back and you cannot pause to top off. Home defense: 4 minimum, all loaded with the same defensive ammo and rotated through the gun on a 6-month cycle. PMAG GL9 17-round at $13 to $15 makes an 8-mag stack cost less than $120.

Variant compatibility: The RXM accepts the full Glock 19/17/18 magazine line: G19 15-round (flush), G17 17-round (slight extension below grip), Magpul PMAG GL9 15/17/21/27, and Glock G18 33-round drum mag substitute. The Magpul-marked Ruger 15-round is functionally identical to a PMAG GL9 15. The RXM does NOT accept G26 10-round mags from a feeding standpoint (they fit but the grip is much taller than the mag, leaving a finger gap), and it does NOT accept G43 or G43X single-stack mags. If you also own a Glock 19, your mag stack is shared, do not buy duplicates.

What a fully built RXM costs at three budget levels. The base RXM starts at $539 MSRP, $130 below a Glock 19 MOS, so the total package stays competitive with a factory Glock build across every tier.

Budget build ($845 total): Light, trigger, mags, and a holster cover the defensive essentials. Mid build ($1,281 total): Adds an optic and a duty-grade light. This is the sweet spot for a modern carry or home defense pistol. Premium build ($1,892 total): Top-tier parts in every category, including a suppressor-ready threaded barrel. Still less than a stock Staccato.
