The XVL2-IRC puts four emitters in a 3.0-inch, 5.0-ounce housing: a white LED rated at 400 lumens and 820 candela with SureFire's MaxVision beam, a 300 mW 850 nm infrared illuminator, and co-aligned green (520 nm, under 5 mW) and infrared (under 0.7 mW) aiming lasers. Both lasers sit on one carriage with sealed x-axis and y-axis adjustment screws, so zeroing the green laser also zeroes the IR laser.
It runs on one 123A battery, giving 1.5 hours on white light, and uses ambidextrous rear switching for momentary and constant-on operation. It clamps to both Universal and Picatinny accessory rails, accepts SureFire's optional remote pressure switches, and is rated IPX8 to 66 feet for two hours. The body is aluminum with a mil-spec hard anodized finish. For a pistol that only needs white light, a SureFire X300U-A does that job at a fraction of the price.
