Holosun 509T X2 Gold

The Holosun 509T X2 Gold (HE509T-X2-GD) is the gold-emitter version of the proven 509T enclosed pistol optic. It keeps the 509T X2 formula: a Grade 5 titanium housing around a fully enclosed emitter, so the aiming point stays visible when rain, mud, or holster lint would kill an open-emitter dot. The headline change is the LED color. Gold sits between red and green on the spectrum, and many shooters find it renders sharper and holds contrast better against bright sand, dirt, and cardboard backgrounds where a red dot washes out. Color perception is individual, so the gold reticle is a try-it-for-your-eyes upgrade rather than a universal one.

The Multi-Reticle System carries over unchanged: a precise 2 MOA dot, a fast 32 MOA circle, or both together. Solar Failsafe keeps the reticle running on ambient light if the battery dies, Shake Awake wakes the sight on movement, and the side-loading CR1632 delivers up to 50,000 hours at setting 6 without unmounting the optic. Twelve brightness settings include four night-vision compatible levels, and the housing carries an IPX8 weather resistance rating with 5000G vibration resistance.

Mounting is the 509T's one real friction point. It uses Holosun's own 509T footprint rather than a standard slide cut, and the included RMR-to-509T adapter plate is how it lands on most pistols. On a Glock MOS slide that means an MOS-to-509T plate from C&H Precision, Calculated Kinetics, or Holosun's own 509PLT, and the plate stack raises the optic; whether factory-height irons still co-witness depends on the plate, slide, and sights, and many Glock MOS combinations end up wanting suppressor-height irons for a lower-third co-witness. Slides with a direct 509T cut mount it lowest.
