Overview
Apex's Polymer Action Enhancement Kit is the Gen 3/4 Glock version of the Action Enhancement Kit, built around a polymer trigger. The box holds three parts: the Apex Polymer Action Enhancement Trigger with a Gen 3 trigger bar in a matte or bright nickel finish, an Apex Ultimate Safety Plunger, and an Apex Performance Connector. There is no trigger housing in the kit, so the pistol's factory housing stays in place. Apex describes the parts as direct drop-in replacements with no fitting required and says the kit delivers the same upgrades as its Gen 3/4 Action Enhancement Kit.
Apex rates the kit at approximately 1 lb less pull weight than factory, with reduced pre-travel, overall travel, and reset distance, a smoother uptake and reset, and a crisp break. A center-mounted pivoting safety maintains factory safety values.
Fitment is Gen 3 and Gen 4 only. Apex lists the G17, G17L, G19, G22, G23, G24, G26, G27, G31, G32, G33, G34, and G35, which covers the 9mm, .40 S&W, and .357 SIG standard frames from subcompact to long-slide. It does not fit 10mm, .45 ACP, or .45 GAP Glocks, and Apex states it is not for Gen 5 models; Gen 5 pistols take Apex's separate Gen 5 kit (102-116) and Gen 6 pistols take the Evo 6 kit (102-306-C). Apex certifies this kit for the Glock factory frame only, does not recommend it in aftermarket frames, rules out Shadow Systems pistols, and states it must not be used with forced reset trigger systems.
