Larry Vickers carry trigger shoe that covers Gen 3-4 standard-frame Glocks and every slimline model including the G42.

The Vickers Tactical Carry Trigger is a shoe swap, and that narrow scope is why it works on so many hosts. It replaces the factory trigger shoe and its integral safety with a flatter, wider polymer face, then leaves the trigger bar, connector, and every spring alone. Pull weight stays where the factory put it, which is exactly what a carry or duty shooter wants. The mechanical take-up a carry shooter already knows is kept, while the overtravel is shortened slightly to reach reset faster; the rest of what changes is where the finger sits and how evenly the press loads.
TangoDown lists the VTCT-001 as fitting all Gen 3-4 Glock models plus the slimline 42, 43, 43X, and 48, which use the same Gen 3-4 trigger geometry. That makes it one of very few aftermarket trigger parts that covers the .380 G42 at all. Gen 5 hosts take the separate VTCT-002 instead. Because it changes nothing in the fire-control chain beyond the shoe, it is the lowest-risk trigger part on a defensive slimline Glock, and TangoDown recommends the usual post-install check of trigger bar and firing pin engagement.
