Beretta
Optic-ready 92 series with factory-cut slide and Beretta RDO adapter-plate support for common pistol red-dot footprints
0-10 Scale Across 8 Axes
The Beretta 92X RDO Full Size is the optic-ready 92 built on the M9A3 platform with a factory-milled slide accepting red dots via Beretta RDO adapter plates. This is the first mainstream 92 that does not require sending your slide out to Langdon Tactical or North Sea Machine for a $375 aftermarket optic cut. Trijicon RMR, Holosun 507C, Leupold DeltaPoint Pro, Burris FastFire/Vortex Venom, and Shield RMSc footprints are supported through the plate ecosystem.
The Vertec-style thin grip frame is the other meaningful upgrade over the 92FS. At 1.37 inches wide at the grip versus 1.5 inches on the 92FS, the 92X RDO fits shooters with medium-to-large hands much better out of the box. The tradeoff is grip aftermarket: standard 92FS panels do not fit the Vertec frame, so VZ, LOK, and Hogue all require separate 92X-specific fitment.
The 92X RDO keeps the DA/SA trigger and slide-mounted safety/decocker on FR models, with G-model decocker-only variants also in the family. Short reset trigger is shorter than the 92FS from the factory, and the same LTT Trigger Job in a Bag drops in for a full competition-grade pull. At $799 MSRP, the 92X RDO is $100 more than the base 92FS for factory optic capability plus the improved grip, making it the default 92 recommendation for anyone planning to run a red dot.
