CZ Shadow 2 OR

The CZ Shadow 2 OR is the optics-ready variant of the production pistol that has dominated USPSA Carry Optics top-20 finishes for three years running. The factory-milled slide accepts a CZ plate system that supports RMR, Holosun 507C, DeltaPoint Pro, and ACRO footprints. The 46.5-ounce steel frame is the heaviest gun legal in Carry Optics under the 59-ounce ceiling with mag and optic, and that mass is the entire reason the Shadow 2 is the winning platform: muzzle flip stays flat under splits at .15 to .18, and dot tracking matches what 2011 shooters expect from a steel-framed competition gun.

The DA/SA trigger is the second reason. Single-action breaks clean at approximately 3.5 pounds with a short tactile reset; the double-action first pull is smooth at around 10 pounds. Carry Optics shooters run the Shadow 2 OR cocked-and-locked from a Safariland or DAA holster, so first-shot pull is the same 3.5-pound SA break every stage.

CZ's signature low bore axis puts the barrel centerline closer to the shooter's hand than any other production 9mm, which compounds the weight advantage on recoil management. The Shadow 2 OR ships with aggressive checkering on the front and backstrap, undercut trigger guard, extended beavertail, and blue aluminum grips. Optic mounting requires the CZ plate kit (sold separately) or a third-party plate like the C&H Precision V4.
