The Henry All-Weather is the .30-30 lever for hunters who work in conditions that destroy a blued gun. Its Industrial Hard Chrome Satin finish covers the barrel and receiver, resisting rain, snow, salt spray, and humidity that would pit and rust a standard Marlin 336 or Winchester 94. It looks like brushed stainless but is a harder, more corrosion-resistant plating. The stained hardwood stock and rubber buttpad keep the classic lever handling profile rather than the polymer-and-rail look of Henry's X-Model line.
The GAW model adds Henry's side loading gate, so you can top off the 5-round tube through the receiver instead of dropping rounds down the front tube the way older Henrys required. The 20-inch barrel and 7-pound weight handle exactly like a traditional .30-30 carbine, brass-bead front and adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sights come standard, and the receiver is drilled and tapped for a scope mount. For marsh duck-blind deer, coastal whitetail, high-country mule deer, and anyone who hunts hard in wet weather, the hard-chrome finish is worth the premium over a blued lever.
