Smith & Wesson CSX E-Series 3.1-inch

The Smith & Wesson CSX E-Series 3.1-inch is a micro-compact 9mm with an aluminum frame, a polymer grip, and a factory optic cut. The 19.7-ounce pistol uses a modified RMS-C/507K footprint and ships in a flat-black frame and Armornite-finished stainless slide and barrel configuration.

The short 3.1-inch barrel keeps the pistol 6.1 inches long and 1.12 inches wide. Smith & Wesson pairs that compact size with an enhanced E-Series trigger, interchangeable backstraps, and extensive grip texture. The modular grip adapter can extend the grip for a fuller hold when concealment is less important.

The package includes 12-, 15-, and 17-round magazines, so the same pistol can be set up for a smaller grip or a fuller firing grip. The modified RMS-C/507K cut also gives the CSX E-Series a clear path to a micro red dot. Its tradeoff is weight: at 19.7 ounces, the aluminum-frame CSX is heavier than many polymer micro-compacts, but it gives the shooter a denser, more substantial carry pistol.
