Athlon Optics Ares Gen II 20-60x85mm UHD Spotting Scopes, 45 Degree Angle, Green, 312008
Price History
90-day low $899.99Overview
The Ares G2 UHD is the scope that makes the premium 85mm tier optional for a lot of hunters. Athlon builds it around a UHD apochromatic lens system with ESP dielectric prism coatings rated above 99 percent reflectivity, and the result is high-magnification color correction that trades blows with scopes costing several hundred dollars more. The 20-60x range covers scanning and detail work, and at 70 oz it splits the difference between the lighter Razor and the heavier Leupold. Athlon backs it with the Gold lifetime warranty. It is the pick for a value-driven glassing kit where the buyer wants their money in the lens system rather than a badge.
