Athlon Optics Talos 20-60x80mm Spotting Scopes, 45 Degree Angled, Green, 315001G
Price History
90-day low $159.99Overview
The Talos 20-60x80 is the honest budget spotter. It uses fully multi-coated lenses and silver-coated K9 glass prisms rather than the HD or apochromatic glass of the scopes above it, so image quality falls off toward the top of the 60x range and in poor light, which is the expected trade at this price. What it does well is get a new shooter into glass: an 80mm objective, a full 20-60x range, and a listed weight of just 38.5 oz, the lightest body in this guide. For spotting shots on paper at the range, scouting close-to-mid country, or serving as a backup, it earns its slot, and the Athlon lifetime warranty is unusual protection at $160.
