Dead Air RXD910Ti

The RXD910Ti is Dead Air's 9mm-optimized pistol can built around a 3D-printed 6AL4V titanium core carrying the company's patented Triskelion baffle system. Additive manufacturing lets Dead Air print the baffle stack as a one-piece core rather than welding a stack of individually machined baffles, which is what allows a 9mm-bore can to also swallow 10mm Auto projectiles without the length penalty a conventional .45-bore modular design would carry. The result is 7.7 inches and 11.4 ounces with the piston assembly installed, at 1.48 inches in diameter.

Caliber coverage is the reason to buy it. The can is rated for 5.7x28mm, 9mm, .38 Special, .357 Magnum, 10mm Auto, .300 Blackout, and .400 Legend, with a 1,900 ft-lb muzzle energy ceiling and full-auto ratings in 9mm, 10mm Auto, 5.7x28mm, and subsonic .300 Blackout with no minimum barrel length. That spread means one stamp covers a 9mm carry gun, a 5.7 pistol, a pistol caliber carbine, and a .400 Legend rifle rather than three separate Form 4s.

Forward porting near the muzzle redirects gas out of the central axis, which cuts backpressure back toward the shooter and takes some recoil out of the host. Dead Air developed the RXD line with Ruger, and the caliber list maps directly onto Ruger's own lineup: the Ruger-5.7, the RXM, the LC Carbine, the PC Carbine, the American Rifle Gen II, and the Marlin Model 1894. It ships with a PB440 1/2x28 Mojave piston preinstalled, in black or FDE high-temperature Cerakote, and shares that Mojave piston interface with the Mojave 9 and Mojave 45 so thread pitches can be swapped within Dead Air's own mount line.
