The Dead Air Sandman-S is the mid-length variant in Dead Air's acclaimed Sandman series, offering the ideal balance of sound suppression and maneuverability for .30 caliber applications. Winning a DEVGRU (SEAL Team 6) contract, the Sandman-S has proven itself in the most demanding combat environments. The fully welded Stellite (Cobalt 6) baffle stack with 17-4PH stainless steel construction delivers exceptional durability.

At 6.8 inches and 17.7 ounces, the Sandman-S provides a nearly 30 dB reduction, bringing .308 Winchester to approximately 139-143 dB from a 24-inch barrel. The low back-pressure design allows semi-automatic firearms to remain locked slightly longer, resulting in slower cycling and dramatically reduced port noise. The KeyMo QD mounting system has become an industry standard, offering rock-solid lockup with one-handed installation.

As an NFA-regulated item, the Sandman-S requires ATF Form 4 approval and a $200 tax stamp. With no barrel length restrictions and ratings up to .300 RUM (4200 ft-lbs energy), it handles everything from short 5.56 SBRs to magnum bolt guns. The detachable R-Series front cap allows field replacement if damaged, adding practical durability.
