The Leatherman MUT EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) modifies the standard MUT platform for specialized tactical applications. Where the standard MUT includes a bolt override tool, the EOD variant substitutes a C4 punch for crimping blasting caps and specialized fuse wire cutters rated for det cord and time fuse. These tools make the EOD variant the choice for military EOD technicians, breachers, and personnel who work with demolitions.

For non-EOD users, the MUT EOD still delivers significant value. The C4 punch doubles as a general-purpose awl and leather punch, while the fuse wire cutters handle any light cutting task. The bronze carbon scraper, replaceable bit drivers, and full complement of pliers, blades, and hand tools remain unchanged from the standard MUT. Many users prefer the EOD variant simply for the awl functionality that the standard MUT lacks.

The EOD retains the same robust construction, 154CM blade steel, and MOLLE-compatible sheath as the standard MUT. At 11 oz, it's slightly lighter due to the tool substitutions.
