Overview
The Leatherman MUT EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) modifies the MUT platform for specialized tactical applications while keeping the AR/M4-focused bolt override and bronze carbon scraper. It adds EOD-specific tools such as replaceable fuse-wire cutters, a replaceable C4 punch, and a cap crimper, making it the specialized version for users who need those functions.
For non-EOD users, the MUT EOD still delivers significant value. The C4 punch doubles as a general-purpose awl and leather punch, while the fuse wire cutters handle any light cutting task. The bronze carbon scraper, replaceable bit drivers, and full complement of pliers, blades, and hand tools remain unchanged from the standard MUT. Many users prefer the EOD variant simply for the awl functionality that the standard MUT lacks.
The EOD uses a 420HC combo knife and weighs 11.2 oz according to current Leatherman specs. Both MUT variants are premium tactical multi-tools; choose the EOD model for the C4 punch, fuse-wire cutters, and cap crimper rather than because it omits the bolt override.
