Rocksett is a ceramic thread adhesive used on high-heat threaded interfaces such as muzzle devices and suppressor mounts. Unlike ordinary threadlockers, it is built for heat exposure and is listed by Flexbar for resistance up to 700 C / 1292 F, which is the current current rating for this catalog row.
The ceramic cement formulation provides a removable-strength bond for parts that see repeated heat cycling. Application is straightforward: use a small amount on clean threads, assemble to the required torque specification, and let the adhesive cure before hard use. Heat is not the removal trick here.
A critical advantage of Rocksett over more permanent adhesives is its removal method. While the bond withstands heat during shooting, the adhesive is water soluble, so stuck muzzle-device threads are usually approached with a soak rather than more heat. That reversibility makes it a practical choice for suppressor mounts that may need future service.
