Overview

Slip 2000 Carbon Killer is a purpose-built solution for the cleaning problem that a CLP cannot solve: heavy baked-on carbon deposits in suppressor baffles, AR-15 bolt carrier groups after high round counts, gas piston system components, and the inside of shotgun action bars. Standard CLPs are formulated to lift loose fouling on contact, not to dissolve carbon that has been heat-cycled into a glass-hard glaze. Carbon Killer is the soak product that handles that job with a water-based, non-flammable formula.

The chemistry is a proprietary blend of biodegradable surfactants and solvents that penetrate carbon deposits and break the molecular bonds holding the deposits to the metal surface. The standard workflow is to fill a pail or sealable container with Carbon Killer, drop in the disassembled BCG or suppressor, and let it soak for 15 minutes. Light brushing afterward removes deposits that would have required hours of manual scraping. Rinse, dry thoroughly, and re-lubricate, ideally with Slip 2000 EWL for a coherent product family workflow. The 4oz dunk pail SKU is sized specifically for this BCG-soak use case and includes a screen rack to lift the part above sediment.

The 4oz spray bottle and 32oz refill cover the spot-cleaning use cases: directly spraying carbon accumulations on bolt faces, gas keys, and chamber areas before brushing. For high-round-count shooters and anyone running suppressed setups (where carbon accumulation is dramatically accelerated), Carbon Killer pays for itself by extending the service life of the components and cutting cleaning time on the dirtiest jobs from 30 minutes to 5. The honest tradeoff: this is a dedicated solvent, not a CLP. It cleans powerfully and leaves bare metal that must be lubricated and protected before the firearm goes back into service.
