FN Reflex MRD optic footprint: what red dots fit
The FN Reflex MRD has a dedicated slide cut, not a plate system. FN specifies it for micro red dots that share the Shield RMSc or Holosun 507K footprint, so optics in either pattern bolt straight to the slide with nothing in between. That takes in the Holosun 407K and 507K, the Shield RMSc itself, the SIG Romeo Zero Elite and ROMEO-X Compact, the C&H Precision EDC, EDC Enclosed, Max, and HNT-R Max, the Gideon Judge II, Judge XL, and Valor Mini, the Swampfox Sentinel II, and the enclosed Vortex Defender-CCW. Because the cut is specified for both patterns, there is no plate stack to add and no height penalty from one. Larger RMR, 509T, and ACRO class optics sit outside what this slide was machined for.
Only the MRD models carry the cut. FN's plain Reflex is specified with three-dot iron sights and no optics-ready slide, so that version has no pocket, no screw holes, and no plate that can create one. Going up in size rather than down, the Reflex XL MRD is specified for the same Shield RMSc and Holosun 507K footprints, so a micro dot moves between the two MRD sizes even though magazines and holsters do not.
