Stuff and Things
Three-round cam limiter that adds a deliberate extended release interval to a Hoffman-pattern AR-15 Super Safety setup.
The Stuff and Things CARL adds a three-round limiter cycle to an existing AR-15 Super Safety setup. After the third shot, its cam interrupts the normal forced-reset cadence and requires a longer trigger release before the trigger can reset again. That forced pause is the entire point: it breaks up a sustained string and gives the shooter a deliberate interval to reacquire the target.
CARL is an accessory, not a trigger, Super Safety, or forced-reset system by itself. It drops into a standard mil-spec trigger group that is already paired with a Hoffman Tactical-pattern Super Safety, including the original push-button design. Stuff and Things specifically recommends the AS Designs Arc-Fire and Atrius FRS families. It does not work with Rare Breed FRTs or full-auto fire-control components, and the box does not include a Super Safety.
Construction combines 4130 steel and stainless steel with a nitride finish, and the assembled limiter weighs 2 ounces. The included cam sets the interval at three rounds; Stuff and Things sells separate two-round and six-round cams for owners who want a different cadence. The maker describes installation as straightforward and modification-free but still recommends a licensed, competent gunsmith.
Add the Stuff and Things CARL 3-Round Reset Limiter to your build and see how it enhances your platform.
