HSGI Sure-Grip Padded Belt

The Sure-Grip is the tall, padded end of the HSGI belt line. At 4.25 inches tall it distributes a loaded belt's weight across more of the hip than a bare 1.75 inch rigger belt does, and the neoprene padding grips the inner belt hard enough that the outer belt stops rotating when you draw.

The stiffener is the part worth understanding before buying. An HDPE sheet runs the length of the PALS section, and it comes out. Left in, the belt carries a holster, three rifle mags and a medical pouch without folding. Pulled, the same belt flexes enough to sit comfortably in a vehicle seat or under a pack hip belt. Most belts in this category force you to pick one behavior at purchase.

Three access ports at 3, 6 and 9 o'clock let a holster shank or a drop leg platform pass through the padding and clamp to the inner belt instead of hanging off the outer belt's webbing, which is what keeps a heavy holster from levering the pad away from your hip. Four suspender attachment points handle the loads where that is still not enough. Sizes run Small at 30.75 inches through 2X-Large at 51.75 inches, in seven colorways.
