Single 5.56 Midlength KYWI Pouch

The Esstac KYWI is the pouch most modern shooters benchmark every other rifle pouch against. KYWI stands for Kydex Wedge Insert, a rigid kydex liner molded inside a soft nylon body that grips the magazine by friction. You hear and feel the click when a mag seats, and you get that retention without a bungee strap to fuss with or wear out.

The midlength cut leaves the right amount of magazine exposed for a fast, repeatable grab while still holding the mag deep enough to survive prone work and movement. At 4.3 inches tall it covers more of a 30-round PMAG than the Shorty, trading a fraction of draw speed for added security.
