Overview
The original NeoMag is the design that started magnetic pocket carry. A steel and titanium body clips inside the pocket and a single high-strength neodymium magnet grabs the floorplate end of a spare magazine, so the only thing visible from outside is a clip that reads as a pocket knife. Sizing follows the carry gun's caliber, Small for .380, Medium for 9mm and .40 S&W, Large for .45 ACP and 10mm, which sets how much steel the magnet has to bite.
It is still sold alongside the Gen 2 at $44.99, and the $10 gap buys a specific set of changes rather than a general refresh: the Gen 2 moves to a 6061 aluminum back plate, doubles up on magnets, and adds a cant-adjustable clip. If the pocket is straight-cut and the magazine is a normal 9mm stack, the original does the same job. Deeper or slanted pockets and heavier magazines are where the Gen 2 earns the difference.
