The Volquartsen Carbon Fiber THM Tension Barrel is the premium answer for 10/22 owners chasing rifle-level accuracy without strapping a steel bull barrel to the rifle. The construction is a stainless steel match liner inside a tensioned carbon fiber sleeve; the sleeve preloads the liner so the barrel behaves like a fluted bull profile under recoil while weighing roughly the same as a tapered sporter. At 1 lb 6 oz the barrel keeps the rifle balanced for prone NRL22 stages without the muzzle-heavy nose of a full steel .920 bull.

Volquartsen pairs the THM construction with their match chamber and hand-honed bore, which is the actual reason these barrels group well with bulk Federal Auto Match and tighter still with SK or Eley match. The 16.5 inch length and 1/2x28 threading are the standard 10/22 aftermarket spec, so any 1/2x28 9mm or rimfire suppressor and any standard 10/22 brake or comp will mount directly. The .920 bull diameter means it requires a 0.920-channel stock or chassis (Magpul Hunter X-22, Boyds At-One bull profile, or any aftermarket 10/22 chassis); it will not drop into a factory sporter stock.
