Custom 10/22 (Fixed-Barrel Build)

Blank-slate, non-Takedown 10/22-pattern rifle builder for a serialized receiver, fixed barrel, bolt, charging assembly, trigger group, and stock or chassis.

Key Highlights

  • Build a fixed-barrel 10/22-pattern rifle from the serialized receiver out
  • Keeps Takedown and Charger-only barrels, stocks, and chassis out of the core build
  • Selected receiver and barrel tags unlock optic and muzzle paths only when those interfaces are present

Overview

This is the blank-slate path for planning a conventional fixed-barrel 10/22-pattern rifle instead of starting with a complete factory carbine. The six required slots cover the major Ruger-pattern assemblies: serialized receiver, fixed barrel, complete bolt, recoil and charging-handle assembly, complete trigger group, and fixed stock or chassis. The template does not assume a Picatinny rail or threaded muzzle; those interfaces come from the receiver and barrel selected in the build. Stock and chassis tags remain available for fitment, while mounted lights and controls are outside this first accessory pass.

Key Features

  • Build-planning template rather than a buyable complete firearm SKU
  • Serialized receiver path with normal firearm purchasing and transfer handling
  • Six required slots cover the major receiver, operating, fire-control, barrel, and furniture assemblies
  • Receiver-dependent V-block hardware, bolt buffer, receiver pins, and stock or chassis fasteners require a separate pre-purchase check
  • Hard fixed-barrel fitment boundary excludes 10/22 Takedown and 22 Charger-only parts
  • Ruger BX-pattern magazine baseline

Pros

  • +Deep 10/22 aftermarket across value, lightweight, precision, and competition builds
  • +Lets the barrel and stock or chassis define weight, balance, and accessory interfaces
  • +Models the selectable major-assembly cost before optional optics, suppression, magazines, and ammunition

Cons

  • Not a ready-to-buy rifle
  • Serialized receivers require normal firearm purchasing and transfer handling
  • Takedown and Charger configurations are intentionally outside this first version
  • Receiver-dependent V-block and cap screws, bolt buffer, two trigger-housing receiver cross pins, and stock or chassis fasteners are not separate priced slots
  • Final function still depends on correct assembly, headspace, hardware, magazines, and ammunition
