Aero Precision BREACH Ambidextrous Charging Handle (AR-15, Large Lever)

The Aero Precision BREACH charging handle manages suppressor gas blowback with a raised rear Gas Deflection Shelf. Where the SilencerCo GDCH carries a captive O-ring that seals the gap and the PRI Gas Buster ports gas down into the magwell, the BREACH stands up a fence at the rear of the handle that redirects gas away from the shooter's face as the action cycles. On a suppressed or short-barreled 5.56 build, gas venting back through the charging-handle channel is one of the most common comfort complaints, and the deflection shelf cuts the volume of gas that reaches the shooter without adding a wear-item seal.

The handle is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum and runs ambidextrous, so support-side charging works without breaking your firing grip. The defining feature beyond the gas shelf is the modular lever system; Aero offers large and small levers, and this entry is the large-lever AR-15 SKU (part number APRA700101C). The large lever gives more leverage and a bigger contact surface for charging under load, gloved, or off a barricade, which is why competition and duty shooters tend to favor it over a low-profile latch. Levers can be swapped without replacing the handle body.

At roughly 1.49 ounces the BREACH sits in the same weight class as other gas-mitigating ambidextrous handles, the modest penalty over a bare mil-spec handle being the cost of the ambidextrous hardware and deflection shelf. It fits standard AR-15, M4, and M16 pattern upper receivers in 5.56. Aero lists separate AR-10/M5 .308 versions; those use a larger handle body and do not interchange with AR-15 uppers, so match the AR-15 SKU to a 5.56 upper.
