The factory Scorpion grip is widely criticized for its awkward, overly vertical angle and slick polymer surface; the MOE-EVO replaces it with a more natural angle that mimics the AR-15 ergonomics most shooters already train on. Magpul's TSP (Trapezoidal Surface Projection) texture covers the entire grip surface, providing positive retention without the abrasiveness of aggressive checkering.

Installation is genuinely drop-in. A 3mm hex wrench backs out the factory grip screw, the old grip pulls off, and the MOE-EVO threads on with the same hardware in under two minutes. At 3.6 ounces it weighs roughly the same as the factory grip but feels substantially more controllable.
