Next Level Armament
Premium MPX charging handle paired with the NLA lifter block to keep the handle locked in place under hard manipulation
Next Level Armament builds the MPX-specific ambidextrous charging handle that competes with the Radian Raptor-LT at the top of the platform. The NLA handle is machined from stainless steel rather than the Raptor-LT's aluminum-and-polymer composite, giving it more mass and a slightly more aggressive feel under the hand. The kit version pairs the handle with NLA's lifter block, which replaces the factory block inside the upper receiver. The lifter block has a tab that captures the rear of the charging handle, preventing the handle from working its way loose during aggressive manipulation under recoil or rapid administrative loads.
This pairing is the answer to a known MPX issue: aftermarket charging handles on a stock factory block can shift forward of the latch detent during fast charging strokes, especially with heavy ambidextrous handles. The lifter block locks the handle in place and is sold as a standalone $35 part (NLX651) for shooters who want to keep their existing aftermarket handle, or bundled with the NLA ambi handle as the kit reviewed here (NLX702).
Forum consensus among MPX owners on SigTalk and r/MPX puts the NLA combination at the same tier as the Radian Raptor-LT for charging-handle upgrades, with the NLA edging slightly ahead for shooters who specifically want the lifter-block reliability fix. Both are universally rated as the highest-priority first upgrade on any serious MPX build.
