The dual-switch design gives operators the flexibility to choose between momentary activation for tactical use or constant-on for sustained illumination, all without breaking their firing grip.

The switch platform features a snap-on clamp that attaches securely to Picatinny rail forends without requiring tools, allowing quick installation and removal. Weatherproof switches and plug ensure reliable operation in wet conditions and harsh environments. The two-digit designation indicates cable length in inches - for example, the SR07 features a 7-inch cable that works with most rifle and carbine applications, while the SR09 offers a 9-inch cable for longer setups.

For users running both weaponlight and laser devices, SureFire offers the SR-D-IT variant that provides remote momentary-on activation for two devices simultaneously - either separately or together.
