Crimson Trace LS-250G Lasersaddle (Mossberg 500/590/Shockwave)

The Crimson Trace LS-250G Lasersaddle is the only purpose-built laser sight for the Mossberg 500/590 family and Shockwave. It bolts to the factory drilled and tapped receiver holes on top of the receiver, replacing the standard bead sight with a green laser dot projected onto the target. On a Shockwave with no stock and no cheek weld, a laser is the fastest path to aimed fire from any shooting position.

Green lasers are visible in daylight conditions out to roughly 30-40 feet, which covers the engagement envelope these firearms are designed for. In low light, visibility extends past 100 yards. The ambidextrous activation button sits on the rear of the unit where the thumb naturally falls during a firing grip. Runtime is 4+ hours on a single CR2 battery, which is more than adequate for a defensive tool that spends most of its life in standby.

The Lasersaddle occupies the same receiver holes as the Aridus CROM optic mount, so you cannot run both simultaneously. For Shockwave owners who want aimed fire without an optic (no cheek weld means a receiver-mounted red dot is awkward), the Lasersaddle is the better choice. For full-size 500/590 owners with a stock, the CROM plus a red dot provides more precision at the cost of more money.
