Overview

CMC sells the small-parts half of a lower build as a standalone 17-piece kit: bolt catch with plunger, spring, and roll pin, magazine release with button and spring, safety selector with detent and spring, buffer retainer and spring, trigger guard with roll pin, and both takedown pins with their detents and springs. What it does not include is the fire control group or the grip.

That omission is the point. A builder installing a drop-in cassette or an aftermarket two-stage never uses the mil-spec hammer, trigger, and disconnector in a complete kit, and paying for them is waste. This is the least expensive way to fill every remaining hole in a stripped lower, and it comes from a company whose entire business is the part it deliberately leaves out.
