Geissele Maritime Bolt Catch

The Geissele Maritime Bolt Catch is the clean way to make the AR-15 bolt catch easier to hit without adding a trigger-finger lever. Instead of wrapping around to the right side like a BAD-style lever, the Maritime Bolt Catch keeps the control in the normal location and enlarges both the upper lock-back pad and lower release pad. The checkered faces give the support-hand thumb more purchase during reloads, malfunction clearances, and administrative lock-back.

That matters most when the rifle is wet, the shooter is wearing gloves, or the lower receiver has a stiff new bolt-catch spring. The Geissele part is still a conventional bolt catch: it uses the standard spring, plunger, and roll pin, and it does not require changing reload technique around a control that crosses the trigger guard area.

Use it when you want a positive, duty-style oversized bolt catch on a standard AR-15 lower. It is not a substitute for a fully ambidextrous lower receiver, and it is less aggressive than large competition bolt-release levers, but it gives a meaningful control upgrade while staying close to the factory manual of arms.
