Overview
Magpul M-LOK Rail Covers Type 1 are the flexible heat-shielding covers for M-LOK handguards. Unlike Type 2 covers, Type 1 panels are intended for both aluminum and polymer M-LOK surfaces, making them the safer choice for MOE/SL polymer handguards and mixed-material hosts.
They protect the support hand from slot edges and heat while adding light texture without changing the rail profile much. Use Type 1 when the handguard is polymer or when heat management matters more than the more rigid Type 2 feel.
