Magpul Industries M-LOK Type 2 Low Profile Rail Covers, Black MAG603BLK
Magpul M-LOK Rail Covers Type 2 (MAG603) are the default answer to the question every new M-LOK handguard owner asks: what do I do with all these empty slots? Each pack ships six low-profile polymer panels that snap directly into the M-LOK pockets without screws or T-nuts. The covers protect the support hand from sharp slot edges, dampen heat transfer after sustained fire, and add a textured TSP grip surface that survives wet hands and gloves.
Each panel is pre-scored down the center, so you can snap one in half to fill a partial slot or mix sections for a custom layout. The profile sits about 1/8 inch above the handguard, low enough to avoid printing under a sling but tall enough to give the support hand something to register against. Beveled edges keep them from snagging on slings, plate carriers, and door frames.
Fitment is aluminum free-float M-LOK handguards only. Polymer M-LOK furniture (MOE handguards, SL-K, etc.) does not have the recessed pocket geometry these need. If your handguard is polymer, look at the Type 1 covers (MAG602) instead, which use a heat-resistant flexible material designed to bridge both polymer and aluminum hosts.
Add the Magpul M-LOK Rail Cover, Type 2 to your build and see how it enhances your platform.
