Polymer enhanced trigger guard that fills the rear gap and gives gloved fingers actual room to work.
The Magpul MOE Enhanced Trigger Guard (MAG1186) replaces the stock stamped or aluminum trigger guard with a reinforced polymer unit shaped for gloved fingers and winter shooting. The shallow V profile expands the interior space behind the trigger, and a rear shelf fills the gap between the trigger guard and the pistol grip that pinches fingers on USGI lowers. If you've ever gone shooting in 20-degree weather and wished the trigger guard wasn't a finger trap, this is the fix.
Install is hex key, not roll-pin punch. Three set screws thread through the trigger guard into the receiver, so you skip the usual ritual of supporting the lower in a vise to avoid cracking the trigger guard tabs. The guard ships with all three screws plus the Allen wrench needed to install them.
Fitment is all mil-spec AR-15/M4 lowers. It will work on most AR-10/7.62 NATO lowers but may need light fitting depending on the receiver's geometry. At under ten dollars, this is the entry-level "I should just grab one" upgrade.
