Magpul Enhanced Ejection Port Cover

The Magpul Enhanced Ejection Port Cover (MAG1206) is the easiest upgrade on the rifle. The stock USGI dust cover is held in place by a torsion spring, an e-clip, and a roll pin, so swapping it traditionally means pulling the handguard, breaking the barrel nut loose, and fighting tiny parts on the bench. The Magpul cover snaps directly into the upper receiver's existing pin channel without any of that, which means the install is genuinely tool-free and takes about 30 seconds.

Beyond install ergonomics, the polymer cover fixes the long-running USGI complaint of a floppy door that pops open in slings, sags under its own weight after a few thousand rounds, and bends if the rifle gets dropped. The Magpul version maintains spring tension over the long haul and shrugs off impacts that would deform the stamped original.

Fitment is mil-spec forged AR-15/M4/M16 right-hand uppers. It will not fit billet or non-mil-spec uppers that deviate from the standard pin geometry, including Aero Precision M4E1, BCM MK2, and SIG MCX. Verify your upper before ordering.
