Strike Industries
Budget steel AR-15 pivot and takedown pins with extended heads you can push and pull by hand, no punch needed.
The Strike Industries Extended Pivot/Takedown Pins fix the AR-15's flush factory receiver pins, which sit nearly level with the receiver and need a punch or bullet tip to start. Strike adds extended heads on both the pivot and takedown pins so the support hand can push them through and pull them free without a tool, which is the whole point of an upgrade pin set if you run more than one upper on a lower.
The pins are precision-machined steel and measure 1.31 inches on the pivot and 1.07 inches on the takedown, with a 0.245-inch diameter that drops into standard mil-spec lowers using the factory detents and springs. At under $16 this is the cheapest way to make field stripping fast, and the black, chrome, and gold finishes let you match or contrast the receiver.
Buy these when budget is the constraint and you want quick takedown without spending real money. They may not seat cleanly in some billet receivers with tight or proprietary pin geometry, such as early AREA53 Mod 0 receivers, where third-generation receivers are the compatible ones. For a standard forged AR-15 they are a straightforward drop-in.
Add the Strike Industries Extended Pivot/Takedown Pins to your build and see how it enhances your platform.
