TANDEMKROSS Cornerstone Rotary Safety (Ruger 10/22)

A cross-bolt safety works, but it has two real shortcomings on a range or a match. Only the shooter can see which side the button is pushed to, so a range officer standing to one side has no visual confirmation of condition. And regardless of handedness, a shooter has to break grip at least once to move between safe and fire.

The Cornerstone replaces the button with a rotary toggle carrying levers on both sides of the trigger housing, the same layout as an AR safety selector. Condition is now visible from either side of the rifle, and either hand can flip it with the firing grip intact. A toggle also cannot be nudged accidentally by setting the rifle down on an uneven surface the way a cross-bolt button can, so any change in state has to be deliberate.

Compatibility is the thing to check before buying. The Cornerstone fits factory Ruger 10/22 and 22 Charger polymer trigger housings, both standard and BX, and TANDEMKROSS Manticore, Manticore LITE, and Manticore X housings. It does not fit other aftermarket metal housings. Note that it comes pre-installed in every Manticore assembly, so buying it separately makes sense only for a rifle keeping its factory housing.
