Thunder Hammer (S&W SW22 Victory)

The TANDEMKROSS Thunder Hammer is a drop-in replacement for the factory SW22 Victory hammer, machined from hardened S7 tool steel and finished with a diamond-like coating for impact and heat resistance. It is lighter than the factory part, which is what shortens lock time and cuts the pull weight the sear has to overcome.

Pull weight is a hammer-and-sear problem on the SW22 Victory, not a trigger-shoe problem. That is why the Victory Trigger alone gives up to a half pound while the Thunder Hammer paired with it takes the break under two pounds. The design also uses an upgraded dog-bone style strut pin that stays stable under mainspring pressure instead of walking.

Shorter lock time is the reason competition shooters install this part rather than just the trigger. Less time between sear release and primer strike means less opportunity for the sights to move after the break, which is the difference on small steel at distance in Rimfire Challenge and Steel Challenge stages. Installation is a drop-in swap of the hammer and strut pin with the pistol field-stripped.
