TANDEMKROSS KrossFire Bolt (Ruger 10/22)

Serious 10/22 shooters have been sending bolts out for rework for decades. The three jobs are always the same: correct the headspace, radius the rear face so hammer contact is smooth, and stop the firing pin from floating vertically in its channel. The KrossFire is a bolt that ships with all three already done.

TANDEMKROSS machines it from heat-treated billet steel and cuts the headspace to the figures a gunsmith would target, so no additional work is needed out of the box. A lateral retaining pin holds the firing pin so it only travels forward and back, which is what produces consistent primer strikes on rimfire cases where ignition is already the weak link. The rear face is carefully radiused, and the practical effect is a lighter, smoother charging stroke and less battering of the hammer face.

The bolt arrives with two TANDEMKROSS parts pre-installed. The Fire Starter titanium firing pin is lighter than steel, which shortens lock time and helps on fast strings. The Eagle's Talon hardened tool steel extractor replaces the stamped factory part that causes most 10/22 stovepipes. A black PVD coating protects the whole assembly. If you were planning to buy the extractor and the firing pin separately and then pay for a headspace job, the KrossFire is the cheaper path.

One warranty note: TANDEMKROSS covers the bolt itself for life but covers firing pins, extractors, and springs for two years, which is the standard wear-part distinction.
