C Products Defense
26-round stainless steel magazine purpose-built for 6.5 Grendel cartridge geometry
6.5 Grendel uses a shorter, fatter cartridge case than 5.56 NATO, and standard PMAG-pattern 5.56 magazines do not feed it reliably. C Products Defense (now branded DURAMAG) is the long-running supplier of dedicated Grendel magazines, with a 400 series stainless steel body, T-360 total coating, and an Advanced Geometry Follower tuned for the wider case head and shorter overall length.
The 26-round capacity is the practical maximum for a standard-length AR-15 magazine well loaded with Grendel. Higher-capacity options exist but tend to compromise feed reliability. CPD's LipLock geometry, EverFlex anti-fatigue spring, and post-and-hole welded body resist the feed lip deformation and base failures that hurt budget polymer Grendel magazines. The same pattern ships from the factory with most Springfield Saint Victor and Bear Creek Grendel rifles.
At roughly $20-22 each, buy these in 5-packs for any Grendel rifle. Aftermarket Grendel mag selection is thin compared to 5.56, and the few polymer alternatives have inconsistent reliability records. Magpul does not currently make a Grendel PMAG. The same body is also rated for 6mm ARC and .22 ARC.
