TTI +5/6 Base Pad Kit (M&P 9/40 Full Size)

The Taran Tactical Innovations +5/6 Base Pad is the competition capacity upgrade for the full-size S&W M&P. It replaces the factory floorplate on a full-size M&P 9mm magazine and takes it to 23+1, or to 20+1 on a .40 magazine. The body is CNC machined from billet aluminum, hard anodized, and weighs about 1.2 ounces, which adds enough mass low on the magazine to help it drop free for faster reloads.

TTI uses a patented push-pin design: push the pin down to slide the pad onto the tube, then push it back up to lock, with no special tools required. The extra length and weight pair naturally with an aluminum magwell for USPSA Limited Optics and Open work, and the base pad alone is legal for capacity in Carry Optics where flared magwells are not.

Fitment is full-size M&P only. This base pad does not fit the M&P Compact, and it is not built for the metal-frame Competitor or Metal series magazines. On a factory full-size M&P 9mm tube the assembled magazine passes the 141.25mm magazine-length gauge used in USPSA Carry Optics and Limited Optics, so it is legal there for capacity. USPSA Production caps magazines at 15 loaded rounds and uses a box test, so an extended base pad gives no benefit in that division.
