Midwest Industries MK2 QD Scope Mount

The Midwest Industries MK2 QD Scope Mount is the latest evolution of MI's quick-detach scope mounts and undercuts most premium QD options on price. It uses a patented Elite Defense QD lever that throws smoothly and returns to zero, giving shooters tool-free optic removal at $234.95, roughly $130 to $165 less than comparable Unity or Scalarworks mounts.

The MK2 comes in two configurations. The standard mount holds the optic at a 1.55 inch centerline with a 1.40 inch offset; the high mount raises that to a 1.93 inch centerline with a 1.50 inch offset for taller, heads-up shooting positions. Both share a 5.875 inch length and an 0.850 inch ring width, machined from hard coat anodized 6061 aluminum.

Weights run 7.9 ounces for the standard and 8.5 ounces for the high version. With 30mm and 34mm ring sizes available, the MK2 QD covers nearly any LPVO tube while keeping the cost of a quality quick-detach mount accessible to budget-conscious duty and range builds. Midwest also sells optic-cut ring caps in RMR, ACRO, and Aimpoint Micro patterns, so the top ring can carry a mini red dot for a backup or passive-aim setup without adding a separate offset mount.
