The Scalarworks SYNC Shotgun Mount addresses the biggest challenge in mounting red dots on shotguns: finding a mounting solution that is precise, durable, and maintains proper sight height. Machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, the SYNC provides an absolute co-witness mounting height that places the optic at a natural cheek weld position on tactical shotgun stocks, eliminating the need to adjust shooting fundamentals when transitioning from bead sights to a red dot.
The adapter plate system is the SYNC's defining feature. Rather than committing to a single optic footprint, the mount accepts plates for RMR, ACRO, 509T, and other common reflex sight patterns. This allows shooters to swap optics without replacing the entire mount, and ensures the mounting system remains relevant as optic preferences change. Each plate is precisely machined to maintain the same height and zero characteristics.
Built to handle the violent recoil impulse of 12-gauge magnum loads, the SYNC uses a robust clamping system that locks onto Picatinny rails without shifting under repeated firing. The mount has been validated on semi-auto platforms like the Benelli M4 and Beretta 1301 where sustained rapid fire produces cumulative recoil stress that can loosen inferior mounting solutions.
