Overview
The Scalarworks SYNC Shotgun Mount addresses the biggest challenge in mounting red dots on shotguns: finding a mounting solution that is precise, durable, and maintains proper sight height. Machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, the SYNC provides a lower-tenth co-witness mounting height that places the optic at a natural cheek weld position on tactical shotgun stocks, eliminating the need to adjust shooting fundamentals when transitioning from bead sights to a red dot.
This is the SW1300 Mossberg RMR/SRO version specifically. Scalarworks sells SYNC as host-and-footprint-specific mounts, so a Benelli ACRO, Beretta 1301, or 509T setup needs its own dedicated SKU rather than an interchangeable plate.
There is no rail involved. The SYNC bolts directly to the factory drilled-and-tapped holes in the Mossberg receiver with the included 4140H steel fasteners (Torx bits ship in the box), which keeps the whole assembly at 16 grams and puts the optic as low as the receiver allows. Receivers that left the factory without the holes need to be drilled and tapped before installation.
