Overview
The Allen Engineering SPR Brake & Collar Kit is the clone-correct muzzle device for the MK12 SPR. The original rifles wore the OPS Inc 12th-Model brake, a stainless muzzle brake paired with an indexing collar that let shooters run the rifle suppressed or unsuppressed with the same point of impact. OPS Inc closed in 2013, and Ron Allen, the engineer behind the design, has continued producing the brake, collar, and the matching AEM-5 suppressor through Allen Engineering.
The kit pairs a 1/2-28 brake with a .22/5.56 aperture and a collar that indexes the AEM-5 (OPS Inc 12th-Model) suppressor. The short collar is clone-correct for the Mk12 Mod 0; the long collar is correct for the Mk12 Mod 1, Mod H, and the NSW Recce. The kit ships with a thread protector and a shim kit to time the brake.
A WARCOMP, flash hider, or SureFire adapter gets you a generic SPR-style rifle; the OPS Inc brake and collar is what makes the muzzle read MK12.
