Most Shadow 2 OR plates target the RMR footprint, which is sized for full-size dots like the RMR, SRO, and Holosun 507C. This Shield Sights mount goes the other direction: it adapts the OR slide cut to Shield's own SMS and RMS micro red dots, which run on the compact RMSc-pattern footprint. The result is the lightest, lowest-profile dot you can put on a Shadow 2 OR.

That tradeoff is deliberate. A Shield RMS sits lower and weighs less than a 507C, which suits a shooter who wants the optic out of the way rather than a large competition window. The RMSc footprint uses a different lug pattern than the RMR cut, so the optic and plate have to match; this mount is the path to running a Shield micro on the platform without filing or improvising.
